Hornet NationNewsFebruary 2021 Edition: Volume 1, Issue 5

Dear Hornet Nation Families,

Welcome Back!

We hope everyone had a fantastic holiday season and were able to spend some quality time with family. We have a lot planned this semester and we look forward to partnering with you. In an effort to bring routine and consistent instruction for our learners at home, we have started a synchronous class schedule. All students should continue to wear a mask everyday and practice social distancing. Parents, if your child is sick, we ask that you keep them home and call the school.

Dress Code Update: No ripped jeans or frays are allowed at Hoffman Middle School.

We look forward to bell to bell learning and providing a safe and secure environment for every student daily. Every month, we look forward to highlighting the great things that are happening on our campus!

Attendance Matters

Students should attend school daily virtually or Face to Face.
    • Make attendance a priority at home.
    • Set attendance goals with your child and track your child’s attendance.
    • Avoid taking your children on vacation, unless the school is not in session.
    • Contact your child’s teacher, principal, or school counselor to report any concerns you notice like your child experiencing symptoms of school anxiety or refusal to go to school.
    • Contact your child’s school to inform the staff of illnesses. In some cases, a doctor’s note may be requested.

Parent Attendance Survey
