I hope everyone enjoyed a restful weekend. As we return to , we do so carrying the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr; a legacy of service, courage, and the power of community.

Reflecting on that spirit, I am energized by the work we started last week. We had the opportunity of celebrating Dr. King's birthday alongside our District African American Parent Committee. Together, we began brainstorming meaningful events for the upcoming Black History Month. It was inspiring to collaborate with parents from across Clearwater to design activities that not only celebrate African American contributions but also deepen historical knowledge and inspire every single student in our classrooms.

Let’s use that energy to fuel our efforts this week. Here is to a productive and inspiring week at Clearwater!

In an effort to celebrate the many students who do the right thing even when no one is watching, we are launching our Fin-Tastic Office Referrals. Teachers and staff will award to deserving students. When a student receives an award, Ms. Farfan and/or Dr. Feiler will speak with the student about the positive event or situation that led to the recognition.

We are proud to announce our first recipient of a Fin-Tastic referral: Salvador Morales 5th Grade, Mrs. Tucker's Class. Salvador recently met with his teacher and academic coach to discuss the importance of performing well in his Imagine Learning Assessment. He committed to trying his best, and he succeeded.
