Monitoring Your Student's Academic Progress in Essential Standards

Last week we took intentional time to reflect on our achievement in all classes at EMS. We took the time in our students' Life classes. We cued students to review PowerSchool to publish/track their progress on Essential Standards in their academic planner. Do you know your student's academic standing? Your student can show you in PowerSchool AND you can review your student's planner (see the image to the left). Check in on your student's progress prior to the end of the semester.

Your Students' Reading and Math Growth

On Monday we will be sending you individual growth reports for your student and you to view. You will be able to view your student's Math growth and Reading Growth. This will come to you in two different ParentSquare messages. We want you to know how well your student is learning at EMS.

If you have any questions about how to interpret your student's measures, their growth (or regression), please contact hargraveb@estacada.k12.or.us, kelleyg@estacada.k12.or.us, or perryr@estacada.k12.or.us.

Based off your student's most recent score -in addition to their achievement in academic core classes - your student will be enrolled into intentional, specific FLX B and FLX C classes for extended learning opportunities. These changes will take place on Monday 2/7/22.

The number you need to call to notify us about your student's positive case is: 971-220-6594. Thank you for partnering with use to keep our students in the classroom with as little interruption as possible.
