Charging Into September Charging Into September

We are wrapping up a fantastic first month of the 2026-27 school year! As we head into week four, our students are settling into strong routines, our fall sports teams are hitting their stride, and there is a lot to look forward to across all four buildings. Please note two important dates on the horizon: there will be no school on Monday, September 7th for Labor Day and no school on Friday, September 18th for our SWSC Professional Development Day.

Penny Wars Kick Off Monday!

The SES PTO presents Penny Wars, running Monday, August 31st through Friday, September 4th. Pennies and bills add points to your class jar (each penny is one point, a $1 bill is 100 points), while silver coins subtract points from other classrooms (nickel = 5, dime = 10, quarter = 25). Students can fill their own class jar with pennies and bills, then drop silver coins into other classrooms' buckets to sabotage the competition. The classroom with the highest total at the end of the week wins an Ice Cream Sundae Party!

School Fundraiser Ends Monday

Monday, August 31st is the final day of the SES school fundraiser. Thank you to everyone who has supported our students!

Fall School Pictures: Tuesday, September 1st

Every student will be photographed regardless of whether prints are purchased, as these photos will be used for the school yearbook. Order forms will be sent home at a later date. If you are unhappy with your photos or your student is absent that day, retakes will be offered later this fall.

Dartettes

Dartette practices continue every Wednesday from 3:00-4:00 in the SES gym. Parents should pick up their child in the gym parking lot. All participants must have a completed sports physical on file in FinalForms, with all parent and student signatures completed, before they can participate.

Calling All Community Helpers: Fall Festival

The Sullivan Elementary Fall Festival is coming Thursday, September 24th from 5:30-7:00 PM, and we need your help! Would your church small group, sorority, fraternity, community organization, sports team, or group of parents like to host a carnival game booth? Gather your group, run a game booth, and help create lasting memories for our kids. Reach out to SES to join the fun!
