Therefore, your rising twelfth-grader will need to show proof of having received the Meningococcal vaccine. Currently, there are no school entry requirements for Meningococcal B vaccine. The recommended MCV4 minimum interval is at least eight (8) weeks between dose one and dose two. If the first dose of MCV4 was administered on or after the 16th birthday, a second dose is not required.
Please submit proof of vaccinations to the clinic as soon as possible!

College Credit Plus Fall Intent to Participate:
The fall intent to participate form is now live. This is only for students who missed the April 1st deadline last year. If you already completed the intent to participate last spring, you do not need to complete this again. Students who missed the spring intent to participate and complete this fall intent will be able to take College Credit Plus classes in the spring semester of 2027. If you have any questions, please have your student reach out to their school counselor! To access the Fall Intent to Participate, use this link.
The PSAT is in October!
The PSAT is a national, standardized test from the College Board. The benefits of taking the PSAT include being able to see what benchmarks are being met, predicting a possible SAT score range, and, for 11th-grade students, being entered into the National Merit contest, which can result in nationwide recognition and possibly scholarships. More information about the PSAT can be found on the College Board website.
Any students in grades 9-11 who are considering going to college should take the PSAT. This test will be given at BMHS on Oct 13th (Gr 9), Oct 14th (Gr 10) and Oct 15th (Gr 11). 9th graders will take the PSAT 8/9, and 10th and 11th graders will take the PSAT/NMSQT.
There is no cost for students to take this test at our school. It is about 2.5 hours for a standard time tester, and will start at 7:30am on the assigned day. Students can sign up using the link here or provided in an email sent home to 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students and parents or the QR code below. Parents cannot access the form - students must sign themselves up. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, Sept 23rd.
