Cereal Box Biography
Students are allowed to read their book, ask questions to clarify, and take notes for it in class if they have finished their work, but the majority of it, i.e. constructing it, should be completed at home. I also sent a checklist to help stay organized while working on it. We see most students have success when they complete it in chunks. Due to the different sections, this report does take time to complete and cannot be rushed last minute. April will become rather busy. Please do not wait to start. I don't want you to feel like you are running to Walmart the day before to buy a cereal box. It is due no later than May 1st.
If your student completes it earlier than May 1st, they can bring it to class before then. I have attached the instructions that were sent home and also the rubric that we use to grade, so you can see how much it is worth. It is also good practice to have your child rehearse reading their report before they do it at school.
If you need any materials please let me know as soon as you can.
