The Parent Rebel Review
Week of October 19
DON'T QUIT! 💪🧡💙
Rebel Family,
Every day, we face challenges that test our patience, our energy, and sometimes even our passion. But remember, the work we do matters, even on the days when we don't see the results.
Some of our students need more than one lesson, more than one conversation, and more than one opportunity to get it right. They need someone who refuses to give up on them. That someone is YOU!
Progress isn't always immediate, and success isn't always easy. But every encouraging word, every extra effort, and every relationship you build plants a seed for something greater.
As we begin another week, remember our WHY. Keep showing up. Keep believing. Keep pushing. Our students are worth it, and so are YOU!
We don't quit when things get difficult. We rise, we adjust, and we keep moving forward—TOGETHER!
Let's keep WINNING #FORtheValley! 🧡💙

Chromebook Readiness & Care Reminders 💻
1:1 Device Check: Every student should now have a working Chromebook in hand—no student should be without a device for class. If you have a student who was missed or needs hardware, please email me immediately so we can get them squared away.
Preventing Device Damage: We've noticed a recent uptick in damaged Chromebooks. Please take a moment to remind your students about daily device care (closing lids gently, keeping liquids away, using two hands to carry).
Parent Outreach for Repairs: If a student has a damaged Chromebook, please contact their parent or guardian to notify them. For your reference when speaking with families, replacement screens cost $23.
Help Us Keep the Riso Happy (and Stocked!) 🖨️ Did you know our Riso machine creates a brand-new master stencil every single time you hit print—whether you're making 3 copies or 300? To help us conserve master rolls and stretch our budget, please follow the Rule of 50:
Under 50 copies: Stick with the standard photocopier.
50+ copies: Fire up the Riso!

Nurse Sunshine's Corner
Rebels,
Would you know what to do if someone were experiencing life-threatening bleeding?
Severe bleeding is a leading cause of preventable death following an injury, and significant blood loss can become life-threatening within minutes. Knowing how to recognize and respond to a bleeding emergency can make a critical difference while waiting for emergency medical services to arrive.
Learning basic bleeding-control skills can help prepare you to respond confidently when every minute matters.
If you are interested in attending Stop the Bleed training, please refer to the attached flyer for additional information and contact details.
