HillcrestUpdateMay 19, 2026

Tomorrow is an Asynchronous/Remote Day!!! Tomorrow is an Asynchronous/Remote Day!!!

Good evening Hillcrest Families,

I apologize for the late email.

Due to the current heat wave and as per the Superintendents email earlier this evening, we are moving to a Asynchronous/Remote day of instruction for Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Your child should be receiving information from their teachers to guide them through the expected work completion for tomorrow.

DO NOT drop your child off at school tomorrow.

Again - please review the below information that was sent out in todays Superintendent message. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to communicate with your child's teacher and/or reach out to the main office tomorrow and we will try to support you as best as possible.

  • Students will need to log into Schoology or Unique Learning using their district-issued Chromebook.
  • Students will participate in asynchronous work. This means that they will complete assignments posted by their teachers in Schoology independently and submit them no later than 30 minutes before the end of the school day. Attendance is based on work submitted.
  • Students who participate in our Low Incidence Special Education Programs will receive an email directly from their teacher.
  • Check your email for a message from your school’s principal with the specific time the assignments must be submitted.
  • Attendance will be taken by all teachers and reported through the Teacher Access Center (TAC) no later than 3:00 p.m.
  • Teachers will be available for 2 virtual check-ins with students. The purpose of these sessions is to provide instructions on how to access assignments and to provide instructional support to students as needed.
  • If you lose power, you will be able to make up the assigned work at another time.

Have a great evening and a safe day tomorrow.
