The Ridgy Report

8th grade band, under the direction of Mr. Terry, received Superior Ratings in both prepared pieces and site reading at District Contest. They were awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award. This is only the 10th time in the last 32 years this has happened at Grove.

Ms. Lepo brought a king cake back from Louisiana for her students to get a taste of Mardi Gras! Yum!!

Semester tests will be given at the end of each semester. The policy states that students

will be exempt from taking semester tests if they meet the following criteria in a class:

Grade/ Absences

A/ 3 or fewer

B/ 2 or fewer

C/ 1 or fewer

All students with a grade of D or F must take semester tests. School activity absences are

the only absences that do not count against the student, or disqualify them from a

semester test exemption. Students that enter the district after the first nine weeks of the

semester do not qualify for exemptions.
