We are intensely preparing for a safe and smooth transition to in person hybrid instruction while diligently working to maintain the positive momentum of our all virtual instructional program.

We appreciate your outstanding work in support of teaching and learning and your voice and insights are highly valued. Please know that we deeply care and we are concern about the health, safety and well-being of Tuscan Children. We invite and welcome parent involvement. If you have any questions or concerns about any aspect of your child’s Tuscan experience, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher or ROARforTuscan@somsd.k12.nj.us.

Moving forward .......If Your Child is Assigned to Hybrid...

If your child is assigned to hybrid and you now wish for your child to remain all virtual please email your child’s teacher and TuscanASAP@somsd.k12.nj.us .

Date Change Request from Virtual to Hybrid

SOMSD Families,

Please see below for clarification and updates for instructional request changes from families who wish to change their preference from virtual to hybrid. As school begins, across all grade levels parent/guardian request for changes should follow the deadlines and request format below:

Tuesday, February 16, 2021: Parent/guardians must submit change requests to their building principals/administrators (you must provide your child's name, teacher, and ID #). Please note all requests are based on capacity (more information will follow in early February).
Monday, March 1, 2021: Students will begin hybrid instruction

Parent Agreement Letter of Compliance with COVID-19 Guidelines : Due Now!

Any family who has chosen hybrid instruction for their child must electronically sign the Parent Agreement Letter of Compliance for each child attending in-person instruction. The deadline to sign was Tuesday, January 12, 2021. If you do not agree to comply with COVID-19 Guidelines and the agreement is not electronically signed prior to your child's return to school your child will not be allowed in the school buildings and must continue their instruction virtually.

The Parent Agreement Letter of Compliance with COVID-19 Guidelines must be completed utilizing the district’s PowerSchool Parent Portal. You must use a computer or a mobile device web browser to complete the form. The PowerSchool iOS and Android PowerSchool applications are not compatible with our online forms.
