Dear CDA Families,
Welcome to a new week and the second quarter of the school year! We look forward to building on our scholars’ progress and continuing to support their growth.
Thank you to the families who attended Family Data Conferences and met with their scholar’s teacher. Your time, questions, and involvement help us plan together for your scholar’s success.
If you were unable to attend, please reach out to your scholar’s teacher to arrange a phone or Zoom conference. We want every family to have an opportunity to discuss their scholar’s progress, strengths, and areas where additional support may be needed.
Working together is essential to our scholars’ success. Thank you for your continued partnership as we begin this new quarter.

CDA will participate in the Burke High School Parade on Friday, October 16, 2026! We are looking for 15 scholars to ride on our float and represent our school.
If you would like your scholar to participate, please contact your scholar’s teacher, Ms. Johnson, or Ms. Riddick.
Next week, CDA will launch its Stop Bullying Campaign to promote kindness, respect, and a safe school community.
On Wednesday, October 14, scholars are encouraged to wear an orange top with their khaki school uniform bottoms to show their support. No jeans, please.

Please join us for our next School Improvement Council (SIC) meeting on Thursday, October 15, at 5:00 p.m. at the middle school campus.
We had a great first meeting and appreciate the wonderful ideas our families shared. This meeting will focus on refining plans for our upcoming Fall Festival and prioritizing the ideas from our first meeting.
Your voice matters, and we look forward to planning together. We hope to see you there!
