Lincoln's Weekly Bulletin
05/08/2026
Good Afternoon Lincoln Family,
It’s been a busy and eventful week here at Lincoln, and we are so proud of our Panthers! Congratulations to our students on a successful testing week. They worked incredibly hard, stayed focused, and showed great perseverance all week long.
We also want to take a moment to recognize what an amazing Teacher Appreciation Week this has been. A huge THANK YOU to our PTA and all of the wonderful families who donated treats, snacks, gifts, and special surprises for our staff. It was so special visiting classrooms and the break room throughout the week and seeing the smiles on our teachers’ faces. Your kindness and generosity truly made our staff feel valued and appreciated. Thank you for recognizing the hard work, dedication, and heart our teachers pour into our students every single day.
I am also incredibly proud of our staff and students for their flexibility and positivity during the water main break this week. Despite the unexpected challenge, our Lincoln community continued to come together and support one another.
This week, we also had the opportunity to celebrate some amazing accomplishments across our campus. Congratulations to our AVID 8th-grade standout, Ashley S., for being selected as the AVID 8th grade Standout. We also want to recognize Ms. Nelson for completing her induction program and clearing her California teaching credential. What an incredible accomplishment! In addition, we continue to celebrate and support Ms. Stauffer as she completes her first year in the induction program, and we look forward to celebrating her accomplishments next year as well.
One of my favorite parts of being a principal is attending events that highlight and celebrate our amazing students and staff.
As we wrap up testing week and head into the weekend, I also want to wish a very Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mothers and mother figures in our Lincoln community. We appreciate all that you do, and we hope you take time this weekend to relax, celebrate, and feel appreciated.
Thank you again for an incredible week, Lincoln Family. Let’s continue finishing the year strong!
Have a great weekend, Panthers!

Immigration Statement
Every family should know that every child in the Oceanside Unified School District (OUSD) has the Constitutional right to attend school regardless of immigration status. OUSD does not request or record information about a student’s immigration status. Federal and state laws protect student information from disclosure to others, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). OUSD does not permit non-students, including ICE agents, access to OUSD facilities unless they can produce a warrant signed by a federal judge. School administrators will not permit the disclosure of confidential student information without first consulting their attorney to make sure that the information has been properly subject to a federal judge’s warrant.
Families should consult community resources to learn their rights and additional information will be provided to help families access these resources

Cell Phone Policy - Off and Away All Day
Together with schools throughout Oceanside Unified School District, we continue our cell phone policy, "During the Day, Off and Away," for the 2025-2026 school year (Board Policy 5131.8). Our goal is to create a safe and focused learning environment for all students by minimizing distractions and promoting their mental well-being.
Key Points:
Cell Phone Usage: Students must turn off (ringer/tone/sounds off) and store their phones in their backpacks upon entering campus. Phones should stay off until they leave.
Exceptions: Students with specific accommodations (IEPs, 504 plans, or medical conditions) may have phone access as specified in the policy.
Communication: Office has landlines for students to contact parents when necessary and may ask permission to call you.
Academic Benefits: Reducing phone usage helps students stay focused and engaged in class.
Safety and Security: This policy helps prevent cyberbullying, ensures students focus during emergencies, and reduces the risk of theft or loss.
Support and disciplinary measures are in place for policy violations to help students adjust.
Thank you for your support as we work together to enhance our students' learning experience and well-being.
