Depending on how your individual school site scheduled your courses in Aeries, end of the year courses will begin concluding on June 6th and will become closed to students for access. After June 6th, courses will still be available as "read only" for teachers under Past Enrollments.

If you need to extend the dates of your course for students to have access after its end date, you can do so through your course settings.

**Please note: If you wish to extend your course date, this must be done prior to June 6th, 2025. If you need to extend the date after June 6th, please submit a ticket to helpdesk@iusd.org.

Where Is My Course? Where Is My Course?

Courses that have ended will no longer appear on your Dashboard, however, they are still in your Canvas account. If your course is no longer on your Dashboard, you can still access it by clicking on Courses in the left menu, then All Courses. Scroll down to Past Enrollments and your course should be listed.

You can customize what active courses you would like to view on your Canvas Dashboard and which courses you would like to remain hidden and only appear on your full course list.

As mentioned above, at the end of the term all courses will become read-only for teachers and closed to students, but will still be available should you wish to use the content again in a different course, such as an Aeries-generated course or a manually-created course.

If the course content needs to be edited prior to transferring to an Aeries generated course, teachers can create a manual course from their Dashboard, and transfer the content to work on over the summer.

Create a "Sandbox" Course

Since you won't have your course shells for next year's classes until closer to fall, you can create a new course to begin preparing. Teach multiple courses? You can create as many Sandbox Courses as your heart desires. Just be sure to name it appropriately to avoid any confusion.
