Peterson's Message- K3 Director
Greetings MCP3 Team!
I am excited to kick off a very special week—our Staff Appreciation Week, themed “Powered by Passion.”
Every single day, each of you brings energy, care, patience, and dedication into this building. It’s not always easy work, and it doesn’t go unnoticed. You are the reason our school runs, grows, and thrives.
This week is all about recognizing that. Not in a big, overwhelming way—but in small, meaningful moments throughout the week to say: we see you, we appreciate you, and we are grateful for everything you do.
We’ve planned a few things each day to help you feel supported, recharged, and celebrated. I encourage you to take part, enjoy the moments, and take care of yourselves as well. This will be a dress down week for staff! Please ensure we are still dressing appropriately for school.
Most importantly, I hope this week reminds you just how important you are—not just to MCP3, but to each other and to every scholar and family you impact.
Thank you for being the heart and energy behind everything we do.
Let’s have a great week!

Spring TPOT Observations
During the week of 5/11 & 5/18 all classrooms will receive their end of year/Spring full TPOT observation. The full TPOT will include a 2 hour classroom observation, a teacher interview, and a debrief session. Interviews and debrief sessions will take the place of 1:1s these weeks. Spring TPOTs are conducted to see the growth in implementing Pyramid Model key practices over a period of time and teams will get to compare their Spring data to their Fall data. During the debrief, teachers will get to celebrate growth, their hard work, and how coaching directly impacted their growth.
Please refer to this Spring TPOT Schedule. Calendar invites have been sent out accordingly. I included the EA on the interview for reference of the time, as some staff lunch times will need to be adjusted that day. However, the EA does not need to attend the interview. Classroom teams will have the opportunity to discuss growth in their classrooms of TPOT during the weekly T/EA time. I look forward to observing in your classrooms and being able to celebrate with you your success and growth of Pyramid Model strategies that support our scholars' social and emotional development.
