For new students: Parents, you must complete the initial forms before you can set up a parent portal.

MECHS would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Dr. Audra Edwards on her new position as a professor at McDowell Tech Community College. Dr. Edwards has played a key role in the success of our school for the past eleven years. While we wish you the best, please know that you will be missed. Thank you for being part of our MEC family.

For the 2026-27 school year, all students receive free breakfast and lunch through Mitchell County Schools. I encourage all students to take advantage of this great opportunity!
