Strong Schools Start with Strong Partnerships

As we continue working together to support every student’s success, I want to encourage all families to participate in our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences on October 1 and 2.

We know that students are most successful when families and schools work together. Conferences are an important opportunity to connect with your child’s teachers, celebrate progress, discuss academic or social-emotional needs, ask questions, and identify ways we can work together to support continued growth.

To make participation as convenient as possible, families will have options to meet in person, virtually, or by phone. In the coming weeks, your child’s school will share additional information, including conference times and sign-up sheets.

Your partnership matters. Thank you for staying connected, asking questions, celebrating successes, and working alongside us to ensure every Irvington student has the support they need to thrive. We look forward to connecting with you on October 1 and 2!

ICMS- 6th Grade Band is off to a fantastic start!

Our sixth graders are doing an amazing job of learning their new instruments and building their confidence each day. We are so proud of the progress they are already making! One of the coolest parts of our band program is that Mx. Beyers gets to lead our students from 6th grade all the way through 12th grade. What a special opportunity to have the same director cheering them on, challenging them, and watching their musical journey unfold for seven years! We can’t wait to hear where these young musicians go from here.

IPA- College Fair @ IU Indy

It may only be September but the Class of 2027 is already preparing for their future. Our College & Career Coach, Miss Humphrey, took interested seniors on a trip to IU Indy where they got to explore and meet representatives from colleges and universities around the country. Seniors came back to IPA with a better understanding of what they are looking for in a college. College GO! Week is just around the corner and the Class of 2027 is even more prepared for this important week of application submission and more! Special thanks to Miss Humphrey and Christel House International for providing this and many other opportunities for IPA Ravens. We are so thankful for our partnership!

ICMS- Juniper L.

Juniper is a true example of the Irvington Way! She is a confident self-advocate who is proactive when she has a concern, while always treating others with patience and kindness. Juniper is quick to volunteer both in and out of the classroom and looks for ways to help without being asked. Her willingness to step up, care for others, and represent our school positively makes her a wonderful example of the character we want to see at ICMS, and beyond our walls!
