CAO's Message
Strong Schools Start with Strong Partnerships
As we continue working together to support every student’s success, I want to encourage all families to participate in our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences on October 1 and 2.
We know that students are most successful when families and schools work together. Conferences are an important opportunity to connect with your child’s teachers, celebrate progress, discuss academic or social-emotional needs, ask questions, and identify ways we can work together to support continued growth.
To make participation as convenient as possible, families will have options to meet in person, virtually, or by phone. In the coming weeks, your child’s school will share additional information, including conference times and sign-up sheets.
Your partnership matters. Thank you for staying connected, asking questions, celebrating successes, and working alongside us to ensure every Irvington student has the support they need to thrive. We look forward to connecting with you on October 1 and 2!
School Highlights
ICES- celebrating strong reading participation across K–3 and a 91% attendance rate this week!
This week we had all three kindergarten classes in first place for the Team Up for Literacy Challenge and our 1st and 3rd grade classes made the leadership board, too! Please continue to complete your reading logs.
Our weekly attendance average this week was 91%!
ICMS- 6th Grade Band is off to a fantastic start!
Our sixth graders are doing an amazing job of learning their new instruments and building their confidence each day. We are so proud of the progress they are already making! One of the coolest parts of our band program is that Mx. Beyers gets to lead our students from 6th grade all the way through 12th grade. What a special opportunity to have the same director cheering them on, challenging them, and watching their musical journey unfold for seven years! We can’t wait to hear where these young musicians go from here.
