📒 Windsong Weekly: April 11, 2026
Happy Saturday Windsong Ranch Families,
This Tuesday, April 14, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will be taking the Reading STAAR assessment. We like to call this a "Bragging Day" a special opportunity for our students to show off everything they’ve learned and how much they’ve grown this year!
To ensure a quiet and focused testing environment for all students, please note that we will have no visitors on campus during testing days.
Tips for a Successful Testing Day:
Rest Up: Ensure your student gets a good night’s sleep so they arrive feeling refreshed.
Fuel Up: A healthy breakfast at home or school provides the brain power needed for the morning.
Pack the Essentials: Please send your student with a water bottle and a healthy, mess-free snack.
We are so proud of the hard work our students have put in. Enjoy the weekend and we'll see you back at the Ranch on Monday!
Together we Prosper,
Michelle Qualls

⭐ Important Notes
Returning and New Student Registration is Open!!
Please take just a few minutes to log into Skyward Family Access today and complete your returning registration for the 26-27 school year. The process is quick and easy! You must be logged in as the parent, not the student account to do this. Only the parent listed first in Skyward has the ability to do the returning registration. You will need to upload your most recent utility bill (water, gas, or electric dated within 30 days) as proof of residency. The bill must have the homeowner's name and service address visible.
If this process is not completed, you will not be able to see who your child's teacher is when that information is released (late summer) so don't delay, do it today!
If you require a Residency Affidavit in order to complete your registration, these will be scheduled in late July. Go ahead and complete the registration and I will reach out later to schedule.
If your student will not be returning to Prosper ISD schools next year, please complete the form in Skyward titled "Intent to Withdraw." You can find this form in your Skyward account under the Online Forms tab. This DOES NOT automatically withdraw your student. We will be contacting you closer to the end of school with a withdrawal form for you to complete. If you have completed the form but continue to get emails regarding registration, please disregard them. Please note the form does not have to be completed if your student is moving to another school in the district. This is only for students not returning to Prosper ISD.
Registration is also open for students new to Prosper so spread the word to your new neighbors!
Canned Food Drive
Help us show our community some love! Prosper ISD is hosting our annual food drive from April 13–17 and the Ranch has been asked to collect specific high-need items:
- Oil
- Canned Chicken
- Canned Tuna
- Jelly (no glass, please)
- Canned Meals (stew, SpaghettiOs, etc.)
Every donation, big or small, makes a meaningful difference. Donations can be dropped off to the WRE front office. Thank you for partnering with us to support local families in need.
Spring Picture Ordering: It's not too late!
In the next few days, if not already, you will receive an email with a personalized code (if Lifetouch has your email) that will go straight to the Individual images that were taken this week. From there, you can place an order. If Lifetouch does not have an email for you, then when the proofs are returned to WRE, we will send them home and there will be a personalized code on there.
For the class photo, if you did not preorder, you will receive a proof and the proofs will have a personalized code that will take you to the order page. This should apply to all students, Suzuki included.
If you need help ordering, please reach out to the Lifetouch Customer Care Team at 800-736-4753 or go on-line to mylifetouch.com and use the Live Chat feature to speak with a representative.
26-27 School Supplies
The EPI school supply kit sale is now live! In order for these kits to be shipped directly to Windsong, orders must be placed prior to 06/16. If you do not want to purchase school supplies through EPI, the supply list for each grade level can be found here.

Kids Heart Challenge is here! Our students are learning how to keep their hearts and brains healthy, and raising funds to help kids with special hearts.
We’re asking all families to sign up and complete Finn’s Mission, where they will learn Hands-Only CPR and the warning signs of a stroke. All students who sign up will receive a wristband.
Here’s how you can help:
- Sign Up Today or download the AHA Schools app.
- Complete Finn’s Mission: Share with family and friends through social media, text and/or email so they too can learn the warning signs of stroke and Hands-Only CPR.
Thank you for supporting our school and students in saving lives!
Together We Champion
A great deal of thought goes into the makeup of each class and we begin by gathering input from students’ current teachers. Their insight helps us understand each child’s strengths, learning style, and social needs. We also collaborate with the other staff members who support our students throughout the year. Teachers and specialists in areas such as GT, ESL, Resource, Reading Support, Dyslexia, and Speech provide additional input to help ensure each class is thoughtfully balanced and set up for success.
