💜 Staff Appreciation Week at LRE 💜 Staff Appreciation Week at LRE

What a truly special week it has been at LRE! Our staff felt so celebrated, supported, and appreciated—and it’s all thanks to our incredible community.

To our amazing families and our dedicated PTO: thank you for the thoughtful treats, kind notes, generous donations, and all the behind-the-scenes efforts that made this week so meaningful. Every gesture, big or small, reminded our staff how valued they are and how lucky we are to be part of such a caring school community.

Our educators and staff show up every single day with heart, dedication, and a deep commitment to our students. Being able to celebrate them in such a joyful way was incredibly important to us, and we couldn’t have done it without your partnership.

From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for helping us honor the people who make LRE such a special place for kids to learn and grow. 💫

Washington state law requires that every student receives Comprehensive Sexual Health education, including HIV/AIDs prevention education, in grades 6 through 12. Because this unit covers sensitive topics, Washington state law and SBLSD board policy require that parents are provided the opportunity to preview these lessons and excuse their student from these lessons if they wish.

The district is hosting a Curriculum Review Night to provide an opportunity for parents and guardians of students currently enrolled in the classes listed below to preview Comprehensive Sexual Health and HIV/AIDS prevention teaching materials and ask questions about the resources used in the classroom.
