Problem-Solving Skills

Grade 11 students in Mr. Tajuddin’s computer class recently put their problem-solving skills to the test with an aluminum boat challenge. Their first design sank after holding 75 pennies, but instead of giving up, the students applied the full problem-solving process to improve their work. The redesigned boat showed remarkable progress, successfully holding 121 pennies without sinking—a true example of creativity, persistence, and innovation in action.

Plant and Animal Cells

Mrs. Davis’s 4th and 5th grade students impressed everyone with their creative science project—edible plant and animal cells! This hands-on activity allowed students to explore the structure and function of cells in an engaging and memorable way. By combining science with creativity, the young scientists brought their lessons to life in a fun and delicious form. Well done to all for their excellent work!

Akhlaq Conference

IMSA’s first seminar centered on the theme: “Akhlaq Matters: Shaping Who We Are.” The event reminded students that true success is not only measured by academics but also by how we carry ourselves through good manners and strong character. Islam teaches that akhlaq is what shapes our relationships, strengthens our faith, and defines who we truly are.

The program featured separate sessions for boys and girls, allowing for meaningful discussions tailored to their experiences. Students reflected on how kindness, honesty, respect, and patience can shape their lives and help them grow into better Muslims and community members.

We were honored to have Sister Ayesha Kazi and Dr. Muhammad Nisar Haq as our special guest speakers. Their thoughtful presentations and guidance left a lasting impact on the students. Thank you to both for their hard work and dedication.

The students greatly benefited from the seminar and walked away with valuable lessons they can carry into their daily lives.

Islamic Foundation Competition

The Islamic Foundation recently hosted its annual competition, where students came together to test their knowledge, challenge themselves, and celebrate learning about Islam. The event highlighted not only the academic skills of the participants but also their dedication and enthusiasm for growing in faith and understanding. We are proud of all the students who took part and made this year’s competition such a success!

This year, our dorm students have been busy with a variety of activities that helped them grow both socially and spiritually. From fun outings to meaningful lessons, dorm life has truly been full of memorable experiences.

On the social side, students enjoyed activities such as swimming, shopping trips, and special dinners with their mentors. These gatherings gave them the chance to relax, build friendships, and strengthen their sense of community.Alongside the fun, students also engaged in enriching educational and spiritual activities. They prayed together regularly, participated in inspiring talks, and attended lessons that deepened their knowledge and understanding. These opportunities allowed students to connect with one another while also nurturing their faith and personal growth.

Through these experiences, dorm life has become more than just a place to stay. It has become a place to learn, grow, and create lasting memories.
