Lowcountry Service Academy Day
The 2026 Lowcountry Service Academy Day will be held on Saturday, September 19, from 9 a.m. to noon at The Citadel’s Bastin Hall.
This event is an excellent opportunity for students and their families to learn more about the U.S. service academies and ask questions prior to application deadlines. A service academy education provides students with a four-year college degree, extensive professional and leadership development, and a pathway to serve our country as a commissioned officer.
Students and parents are encouraged to RSVP using the link below:

Student Laptop Expectations and FAQ
We expect students to take care with their district-issued device. If a student was given a laptop with a plastic/rubber case, they should keep the case on their device at all times. Students should take care not to lose their district-issued charger.
If my student is new to Flora, when can they receive a laptop?
Usually, within 48 hours of enrolling, we are able to issue laptops to new students.
When can my student visit the library about a laptop/charger/case issue?
We are open from 7:45 a.m.- 3: 45 p.m.
What if my student loses their charger?
Students can purchase replacement chargers for $35 (exact cash, check, or visit our online store).
What if my student removes the case from their laptop and loses it?
Students can purchase replacement cases for $20 (exact cash, check, or visit our online store).
What if my student's charger no longer works?
Your student can bring the charger to the library and we will swap it for another charger.
If my student runs into a technical issue while at home, what can he/she do?
Call the district HELP desk at 803-231-7436. Their hours go beyond the school day.
Thanks so much for encouraging your students to take care with their district-issued laptop!
