We are excited for our Cardboard Creation Day on October 31st. Every grade will have the chance to unleash their creativity during specials time, using cardboard, duct tape, and their imaginations to build whatever they dream up. We know that Halloween brings up different emotions for people and we are also aware of an increase in absenteeism on Halloween. At the elementary schools, we want to design events and learning activities that are inclusive to all children while keeping our students engaged in school. Therefore, instead of a parade in school this year, we will be holding Cardboard Creation Day as a school wide event that day that will promote beneficial learning for all.
We encourage families to explore the exciting community celebrations happening locally, such as our annual Spooktakular Trunk or Treat this Thursday night at Nipmuc High School, the annual Spooky Run hosted by the Mendon-Upton Education Foundation, or the Spooky Walk sponsored by the Nipmuc Drama Guild this coming Saturday. These events offer wonderful opportunities for children to enjoy the holiday in a fun and engaging way.
