Dear Families,
I hope this newsletter finds you well.
Today we had a great field day! Thank you goes out to Mrs. Tanya Morris for planning an incredible day! Students and staff had a blast. Thanks to all the parents and family members who volunteered and supported us today. Students spent the morning playing Cosmic Bowling, Drip-Drip-Drop, Dance Party, and more. In the afternoon students and staff were treated to Kona Ice (thanks to the PES-PTO).
Next week looks to be a super busy week for our last week before summer starts. Classes have several end-of-the-year activities planned, including several walking field trips. Please remember to get the field trip permission slips in.

In fulfillment of one of the objectives in its 2023-2028 Strategic Plan, the ConVal School District is conducting an equity audit.
You have the opportunity to participate in an open-invitation focus group for all families. There will be four focus groups: one for all families, one devoted to families of color, one for families with children receiving special education services, and one for families with children identifying as LGTBQ+. Each focus group session will last about 60-90 minutes. All participants' identities will be confidential and anonymous.
Your voice and your student’s voice are very important in this process. Please consider one or more of the following (click the times for Zoom link):

Family Engagement Survey
Below is a brief survey from the Family Engagement Leadership Team (FELT). This survey aims to gather information from families about the family engagement opportunities PES has held over the 2023-2024 school year. Thank you for taking the time to respond and help improve our partnerships with families.
Reading With Ribby Update
Thanks to all the students who participated in the Reading With Ribby Challenge. Over 100 students completed the challenge and will be receiving a T-shirt and a family pass to a Keene Swampbats baseball game. The game is scheduled for Wednesday, June 12th at Aulmni Field in Keene. Parents are asked to arrive by 5:15pm at the latest. Parking lots fill up fast, and the parade will start promptly at 5:50pm. We don't want anyone to miss the parade! Students will meet their schools behind the big green grandstands. Look for the PES sign and banner!
