St. Columba's Primary School
NEWSLETTER | TERM 3 WEEK 8 | 10 SEPTEMBER 2026
Lord,
You who fill creation with wonder and invite us to seek and to know.
Thank you for curious minds and open hearts.
Help us remember that learning is a joy to be shared. A spark that lights up a child's face,
a question that leads to another, a moment that changes how someone sees the world.
Grant our teachers wisdom and patience, our families joy in this journey,
and our students the courage to ask, explore, and grow.
May all who walk through our doors tonight feel welcome,
and may we be renewed by the joy of learning and growing together.
We ask this in your name.
Amen.
Dear Parents, carers and friends of St Columba’s
OPEN NIGHT
Thank you to our wonderful teachers for preparing our students, who are so proud to share their learning journey tonight. And thank you to the families and friends who are joining us to celebrate this joy-filled learning environment. Your presence means so much to our school community.
R U OK
Research shows that most people feel grateful, cared for and supported when someone checks in on them (Verian. (2026). R U OK?
Meaningful relationships are not built because we have it all together.
They grow when people feel safe to:
- be honest
- ask for help
- share their struggles
- support one another
Today is a reminder that wellbeing is a shared responsibility.
If you are thinking it, ask it. If you are not OK, let someone know.
Because connection grows when we allow ourselves to both give and receive support.
God bless
Emma
