June RACHS News
2025-2026 School Year
Greetings everyone! We have had so many things to be PROUD about between the different awards and scholarships ceremonies going on to the recognition our students have received for their play and musical performances this year and the sectional championships for our Varsity Baseball team and some of our Track and Field athletes. One of the things that made me most PROUD over the last few weeks was our district-wide send off for the Special Olympics at the Elementary School. It was great to see our students help make a memorable experience for our younger Special Olympics athletes, one they won’t soon forget!
We only have 8 class days left! June 16th is our last day of classes and we will have a full-day of activities planned to celebrate Moving Up Day with the students. Regents and Final Exams will then start on June 17th and go through June 25th, please be sure to see more info on that below. With all that in mind, please continue to encourage your student to remain academically focused. All of our classes are completing final projects or preparing for their Regents and final exams. Maintaining strong attendance each day through the last day of class is very important! This can be a hard time of year to stay focused, but we want to make sure our students are taking full advantage of the opportunities to finish the year strong.
June Regents & Final Exams
Please click on the button below to see our Regents/Final Exam schedule. This document also has important information regarding transportation, food service, and state mandated procedures that students must follow. Review carefully and reach out to the Main Office if you have any questions.
Please note that the ELA and Algebra II Regents are early this school year and will take place next week. We will follow our regular class schedule, except the students taking those exams will be in the designated test sites for the morning to take those exams. The expectation is that they are still to attend their afternoon classes after completing their exam.
As a reminder, these assessments count as 12% of a student's overall grade in the course. Regents exam dates and times are also set by NYS and cannot be rescheduled.
Gananda PROUD
May Students of the Month
Jack W. for 9th Grade:
Team 9 selected Jack. Always with the great attitude that characterizes him, Jack consistently demonstrates strong effort and positive performance each day. It is truly a pleasure to have him in class and to see the way he contributes to the classroom environment. He sets a wonderful example through his respectful attitude toward both classmates and teachers, while also showing maturity, responsibility, and a genuine willingness to participate and learn.
Ryden R. for 10th Grade:
The 10th Grade team selected Ryden for May’s Panther of the month. Ryden demonstrates PROUD through his respect for himself and others. He is always polite to his peers and teachers and his work is exemplary. Ryden really shines when he can incorporate his creative drawing skills into his work. Congratulations Ryden!
Duncan F. for 11th Grade:
The 11th grade team has chosen Duncan for their Panther of the Month for May. Duncan is a hard-worker, always polite, and focused on school work. In English, he volunteers to read aloud and take on larger roles in class. In general, he looks out for others and helps out when he can! He is communicative with teachers, mature, and despite suffering a difficult injury and missing time from school, he never complained and made up all of his work. Great work Duncan!
Adho M. for 12th grade:
The 12th grade team would like to recognize Adho as the panther of the month. Adho consistently demonstrates outstanding participation in class, shows respect by greeting teachers outside of the classroom, and encourages unity by working with peers and supporting them with work completion during class. Adho often shows leadership by actively doing the right thing when it is not always the popular choice.
Kalli M. for Gananda Rotary Citizenship Award:
In addition to being a responsible and respectful student, Kalianne has been a great resource in the Main Office. She's helped reorganize, inventory and clean out our storage closet and filing cabinets. She's always willing to help out and we appreciate that! Kalli will be missed next year!
Spring Sports Sectional Champs!
Congratulations as well to our following Track and Field athletes that won Sectional Championships in their events:
- Evan C. - Sectional Champion in both the 100 and 200. His 100 meter time of 11.05 breaks his school record, but also broke the meet & facility record!
Haley C. - Sectional Champion in both the 200 & 400. Her 400 time broke the Sectional meet record that she held from last year, and the South Seneca facility record!
The boys 4x100 relay of Jayden H., Owen M., Brody O. and Evan C. defended their sectional title from last year in the event. The relay is undefeated this season!
Good luck at the State Qualifier meet in Cal-Mum this weekend!
