Get involved!! Do you love our community?! Do you love our schools?! Do you want to support our students and teachers?! You are invited to become a part of our educational foundation, a multi-faceted gem! Keep reading to learn more about Clover LEAF and how we support our teachers to enable our students to become the future jewels of our community.

PURPOSE

The Clover Leaders for Educational Advancement Foundation (LEAF) is a non-profit organization founded in 1986 to support the Clover School District (CSD) in achieving educational excellence. This is accomplished by providing grants to educators for creative and innovative educational programs that will positively impact the academic achievement of our students. We are reaching out to individuals and organizations in the CSD community to help us spread the word about LEAF to better meet our students’ academic needs.

MISSION

The mission of the Clover Leaders for Educational Advancement Foundation is to support the Clover School District in achieving and maintaining educational excellence.

GOALS

To accomplish this mission, the Foundation has established the following Goals for school

year 23-24:

Goal #1. Enhance the Foundation’s organizational capabilities to better support CSD. Since the end of the Covid restrictions, we have been in a rebuilding mode. Meeting frequency has increased from quarterly to monthly, new members of the Board of Directors have been elected, and committees have been formed to better conduct business and carry out our mission. In the months ahead, you will hear from our officers and committees explaining their roles, responsibilities, and

activities toward accomplishing the mission.

Goal #2. Garner financial support for Foundation programs and projects by soliciting grants, gifts, donations, and endowments, as well as conducting new and varied fundraising activities. We have established and are executing a marketing campaign that will support the Foundation grant writing program. We are creating a database of businesses and civic organizations as well as alumni

and friends of CSD who are or would potentially be donors. Plus, we are increasing the number of community-focused fundraising activities per school year. You may already be familiar with one of our fundraising events, our Taste of the Town, featuring the CSD Culinary Arts Program. Put March 23, 2024 on your calendar as we are hosting our first gala in support of our mission. To be held at

the River Hills Country Club, it will be an evening of fun, food, fellowship, entertainment, prizes, and a silent auction!

Goal #3. Invest in programs and projects that promote educational innovation and academic achievement. While the Grant Program has been in existence for some time, we are putting more effort into structuring our processes to actively solicit proposals for creative and innovative educational programs and projects from CSD educators. The table below shows the fifteen Grant Awards from last year. With your help we hope to increase that number each year.
