Office of the Principal

January 26, 2021

Greetings to the Carver Panther Family:

As we begin the second semester of our 2020-2021 school year, I want to take this opportunity to welcome you back from your winter break. We are looking forward to a new beginning with brighter days ahead. Our rear-view mirrors give us a glimpse of what 2020 was like, and as we accelerate ahead, we take brief glimpses to remind us of where we have been and how we should prepare for where we are headed. The Pandemic still looms large and presents a daunting challenge on how we provide education to the students we serve; however, we are up for the challenge. We are determined to plan daily activities, continue quality instruction, counsel and advise and address all needs within our scope of influence for your continued success. We are here for you! We do, however, need your help. We ask you as parents and students to please cooperate and partner with us as we work to serve you better. We need your patience and understanding to explore and discover new ways and new opportunities to serve you. Please continue to use the access channels provided to communicate with us and realize that we are a parent and community-friendly campus for all of our stakeholders.

This newsletter that we are launching is the first of which will be published monthly by Dr. Hart. It will serve as an additional way to keep you informed of the things that are happening at Carver. You will be able to access it on our website the last Friday of each month.

I encourage you to begin this new year with me, our outstanding administrative team, our dedicated staff with a positive attitude, determined-spirit, and a commitment to overcome the challenges that may cross our paths. Together, we can make the 2021 school year a productive educational experience using our creativity, ingenuity, and resourcefulness.

LET’S GET TO WORK!

Faithfully serving our students,

Petricia Hart-Ross, Principal

P-TECH: How high schoolers are redefining their future

Showtime Showtime

Synopsis

The plot revolves around an all-girl singing trio called the “Dreams,” their manager, Curtis Taylor and a solo recording artist by the name of Jimmy Early. During the course of the musical, the characters deal with the highs and the lows of the Motown Era. Even though the characters are fictional, they are based on many groups of that time period i.e. The Supremes, and Martha Reeves and the Vandellas. This musical is filled with love, intrigue, deception, forgiveness, greed and friendship…all the elements of a great musical.
