🎉Congratulations to West Riverside for being named a 2026 Florida School of Excellence by the Florida Department of Education. Only 11 elementary schools in Duval County earned this distinction. This honor is awarded to schools with sustained high performance who rank in the top 20% of schools in their same grade level grouping. Thank you to the teachers, staff, families, and community members who made this possible. West Riverside is a unique school with a rich 115 year history of teaching and learning from the heart of historic Riverside. Our diverse and welcoming culture is the perfect place for students to shine academically and socially. Way to go, WRES! 🐊🧡💚💙

Data Triangle Survey
Beginning October 5, Duval County Public Schools will launch the 2026-27 Data Triangle Survey, providing students, employees, families, and community members an opportunity to share their experiences and perspectives about our schools and district. The survey closes on October 23.
The Data Triangle Survey is an important part of our continuous improvement work. It helps us better understand what is working well across the district, where there are opportunities for growth, and how the experiences of the people we serve and work alongside connect to the outcomes we are working to improve. Community Spotlight
We love having Kona Ice visit us every month! We get to reward our Students of the Month with a cup of shaved ice and the school earns 20% of the profits from each month's visit. Not only does Kona Ice give back to the school, but families have a chance to pay it forward and provide a treat for a Student of the Month. Kona Ice will be at West Riverside again on Friday, October 30, 2026.
