Dear Dealey Community,
As we enter Week 4, I am reminded of something that makes our school community especially meaningful: George Bannerman Dealey Montessori and International Academy is an International Peace Site. 🕊️🌎
Being a place of peace is more than a designation—it is a commitment. Peace is reflected in how we speak to one another, how we solve problems, how we show patience, and how we care for the people who share our community. These are values we work to instill in our students every day, and they are equally important for us as adults.Every Wednesday here at Dealey is Peace Wednesday.
As we continue to Explore Deeply and Thrive Globally, I encourage each of us to model the kindness, respect, patience, and responsibility we want our Dragons to carry into the world.
📚 Progress Reports This Week
Progress Report #1 will be sent home this week. Please take time to review your child’s academic progress, celebrate successes, and identify areas where additional support may be needed. Our teachers appreciate your continued partnership as we work together to help every student grow and thrive.
🚗 Important Carpool & Parking Reminder
I also want to emphasize the importance of following our arrival and dismissal carpool procedures every day—both morning and afternoon.
Please do not park, stop, or leave vehicles in areas that interfere with the flow of carpool or create unsafe conditions for students, staff, other families, or our surrounding neighbors. Following the established traffic pattern, pulling forward as directed, remaining patient, and respecting parking restrictions helps keep everyone safe and allows our carpool lines to move as efficiently as possible.
We understand that arrival and dismissal can be busy, but safety must always come before convenience. We need every family’s cooperation. In the spirit of being an International Peace Site, even our carpool line is an opportunity to demonstrate patience, courtesy, and respect for one another. 💙
