Aloha Families,

We are happy to announce that our School Year 2026-2027 merchandise pre-orders are officially open!

Students in PreK through 4th grade are bringing home order forms today. We highly encourage you to take advantage of the pre-order window; this guarantees your child’s gear will arrive during the first week of the new school year. Families who wait to order in August will not receive their items until mid-to-late September.

- Our 2026-2027 Theme: "Slow & Steady To Mindfulness" will be featured on a "WOW Pink" 100% cotton T-shirt for families. It is sure to be a hit!

- New This Year: We are debuting a brand-new style of T-shirt that is available exclusively via pre-order, so don't miss out!

- Pre-Order Deadline: Thursday, May 28, by 3:00 PM. Please note: We are strictly unable to accept pre-orders after this deadline.

If you need a replacement order form, please check your child’s backpack or pick one up from the front office.

Waikiki School Partners with the Honolulu Zoo!

Students in Ms. Giletti’s class recently had the exciting opportunity to partner with the Honolulu Zoo to create enrichment items for the animals!

Using creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, students designed and built a variety of engaging items, including:

  • A giraffe feeder

  • A primate puzzle feeder

  • A rhino safety cone toy

  • A firehose feeder

  • Numerous nest boxes for the Zoo’s birds

This hands-on project allowed students to learn about animal behavior and discover how enrichment keeps animals active, curious, and healthy. It was an incredible experience for our students to see how their ideas and hard work could make a real difference for animals in our community.

Zoo staff were thrilled to receive the items and shared their deep appreciation for the care and creativity that went into each project. Waikiki School is incredibly proud of Ms. Giletti’s class for their innovation, compassion, and enthusiasm. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Honolulu Zoo in the future!

K is a Garden

Please take a moment to visit our beautiful new mosaic panel, “K is a Garden,” which celebrates the wonderful kindergarten students at Waikīkī School.

The mosaic features ceramic flowers and butterflies handcrafted by our kindergarteners, each piece inscribed with the student’s name and school year. Together, these individual creations form a vibrant garden that symbolizes our school community and reminds us that every child is an important part of our ʻohana. Just as every flower and butterfly adds beauty to the artwork, every student contributes something unique and valuable to our school.

"K is a Garden" is a lasting reminder of the impact our students leave on our campus, classrooms, and community. We hope our keiki will return to visit this mosaic throughout their years at Waikīkī School and long into the future. It is both a celebration of their time here and a reminder that they will always be a part of our school ʻohana.
