Principal's Message
Ride Families,
What an incredible first week!
A huge thank you to our fabulous PTO for filling our week with so much joy and connection through Chalk the Walk, the Back to School Bash, and our Ready to Soar Breakfast. These special events helped create such a warm and welcoming start to the school year and reminded us what a wonderful community we have here at Ride.
I also want to give a very special thank you to our amazing Ride staff. Their hard work, dedication, and love for our students were evident the moment our doors opened. Classrooms are not only beautiful, but they are filled with warmth, energy, and a love for learning. Thanks to their thoughtful planning, students were actively engaged and learning from day one. It has been wonderful to see our Challengers already embracing our school expectations. Students are proudly walking on the third tile, following routines, and helping make our hallways look fantastic. We are so grateful for the way our staff pours their hearts into making Ride a place where every child feels welcomed, supported, and inspired.
We are excited for our first full week of school! Although our regular school hours are 7:55 a.m.–3:10 p.m., we will continue our early dismissal time of 3:00 p.m. through August 21st. Students may begin entering the building at 7:30 a.m. Kindergarten through 4th grade students will report directly to the gym for Active Start.
To help students build independence and confidence, we kindly ask parents to say their goodbyes at the entrance doors and allow students to walk to class independently. Our staff members will be stationed throughout the building to greet, guide, and support students each morning.
Staff will be on duty to assist with arrival until 7:55 a.m. If you arrive after 7:55, please park and walk your child to the front entrance, where a staff member will assist with check-in. Students should be inside the building by 7:55 to avoid being marked tardy.
If you are dropping off a lunch for your child, please do so by 11:00 a.m. to allow time for delivery to the classroom.
To help ensure the safety of all students, transportation changes should be limited to emergency situations and should not become a daily occurrence. Consistent transportation routines help children feel secure and allow our staff to ensure every student gets to the correct destination safely each day.
Frequent transportation changes can be confusing for students, disrupt their routine, and increase the possibility of miscommunication. We encourage families to establish a regular transportation plan whenever possible and reserve same-day transportation changes for unexpected circumstances.
All transportation changes must be submitted to ridetransportation@conroeisd.net. Please include your child's name, grade level, teacher, and the requested transportation change in your email.
At Ride, our mission is to create a supportive, loving, and inclusive environment where every student is empowered to learn, grow, and shine. We are committed to providing a rich and challenging learning experience that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being such an important part of our Ride family. We are looking forward to another great week and all of the learning and memories that lie ahead. Together, we're going to make this an amazing year for our Challengers!
Have a great weekend,

Community Partners
Thank You to Our Community Partners!
Thank you to Chick-fil-A Sawdust Road and Paris Baguette for generously feeding our teachers with chicken minis and delicious pastries at our Back to School Breakfast.
We’d also like to thank The Woodlands Nursery and Home Depot The Woodlands for donating mulch and plants for our summer landscaping project. Thanks to their generosity, the flower bed outside the front office was overhauled with new evergreens that will keep our school looking nice all year long.

Birthday Treats
To help us keep everyone safe and ensure celebrations run smoothly, please remember that any birthday treats brought to school must follow our treat guidelines. Treats should be commercially prepared, nut-free, and clearly labeled with ingredients.
**Please note that we can not accept birthday treats from Shipley’s Donuts, as their corporate office has informed us that their products contain nuts.**
Treats that do not meet these guidelines will not be permitted in the classroom. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us celebrate safely!

We value the contributions you make to Ride to support our outstanding students, teachers, and programs. It is our goal to provide a safe environment for our students and visitors. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the Volunteer Application. This includes working in the classroom, reading to students, working in the library, etc..
Breakfast & Lunch
Parents are encouraged to prepay for their child’s meals through myschoolbucks.com. Please allow up to 48 hours for payments to be applied to your child’s account.
Breakfast is served daily from 7:30–7:55 a.m. Breakfast costs $2.00, and a regular student lunch is $3.20. À la carte items are also available for purchase at varying prices.
For menus, nutrition information, and additional details, please visit the CISD Child Nutrition website.
If sending cash or a check to school, please place it in a sealed envelope labeled with your child’s name, ID number, and grade level to ensure the payment is applied correctly. Checks should be made payable to CISD Child Nutrition and include the parent’s driver’s license number and date of birth. Free and Reduced-Price Meals
Families interested in applying for free or reduced-price meals may complete an application through myschoolapps.com. Students who do not qualify for the free or reduced-price meal program will need funds in their account or payment at the time of purchase for breakfast and lunch.
Lunch Visitors
We have found that the first few weeks of school are an important time for students to build independence, learn routines, and become comfortable in their new environment. To support this transition, we kindly ask that parents and guardians wait until August 24 before joining their child for lunch.
Due to limited seating in our cafeteria, all lunch visitors will be required to sign up in advance. We will share additional information, including the lunch visitor sign-up process, in the coming weeks.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we help our Challengers get off to a great start this school year!
School Hours
School hours are 7:55 a.m. - 3:10 p.m. Students must be in their classroom before the 7:55 a.m. bell rings, or they will be considered tardy. Please note that 7:30 a.m. is the earliest time that your child may be dropped off. We do not have staff available to supervise students until that time.
Tardy Policy - A student is tardy if not in the classroom at 7:55 a.m. If your child is tardy, parents must sign him/her in at the front office. When a student is tardy, an e-mail will be sent to the student’s guardian for notification.
Parent Portal
Conroe ISD offers a Parent Portal that gives parents and guardians easy access to important information about their child. All parents/guardians will need to create an account to get started. Please use the email address currently listed in your child’s school records. After entering your email, you’ll be prompted to create a password.
For step-by-step instructions, click Parent Portal Directions or go to Conroe ISD Webpage then "Parents/Students" to access the link
ELECTRONIC DEVICE POLICY
Students may not use personal communication and electronic devices during the school day in accordance with Texas House Bill 1481.
This includes (but is not limited to) phones, smartwatches, tablets, and wired/wireless headphones such as AirPods.
