Scholarship Information

There are TONS of scholarships out there, but trying to navigate them all can be very confusing and time-consuming.

The Hereford Community Scholarship packet will be available December 1st. This is a great opportunity for seniors to potentially earn scholarship money for college. Every senior applying to college should fill out this packet. Past seniors have been awarded from $200 up to $7,500 in scholarships from local businesses and organizations.

Students can access many scholarships promoted through BCPS in Schoology. Pay attention to postings with scholarship information!

Students can also access scholarship offerings in Xello. Once logged in, hover over "Explore" then click on "Scholarships."

ASVAB-Hereford Test Day is December 3rd

The ASVAB is the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery which helps in identifying different skills and competencies and helps students gain awareness of how their interests, aptitudes, and values correspond with various occupations characteristics. Students need to take the ASVAB if they plan to enter into the military however, taking the ASVAB is in NO WAY a commitment to join the military and the scores are not shared with recruiters. Some students may choose to take the test just to understand what their strengths are. The test will be held here at Hereford HS on December 3rd and is available to students in grades 10-12. For more information on the ASVAB click on the button below. To sign up be sure to see your counselor.
