Principal's Message
Dear Bethany Elementary Families,
As we wrap up this school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we've all been part of. This will be our last newsletter this year, but please stay tuned in August for the latest updates and information to kick off the new school year.
Our Grad Walk yesterday was a truly special, full-circle moment as former students, now graduating seniors, walked the halls of Bethany one last time. Our current students lined the halls with signs, smiles, and applause. This was a beginning of a new tradition, and I express my gratitude to the Westview/Bethany parents who helped facilitate this event. It was a wonderful opportunity for our youngest Bobcats to envision their future and for our graduates to reconnect with their former teachers. It was deeply meaningful for many staff members as well. Here is a quick video of the Celebration.
A big THANK YOU to our Field Day Volunteers and to Mr. Stoller, Mrs. Springer, Mrs. Decker, and Mrs. Nuño. Their hard work and dedication in planning and organizing the event made it a memorable day for everyone involved.
I've received some questions about staffing for next year. While all assignments are tentative and may change in August after our enrollment numbers are confirmed, here are a few certainties:
Good News: John Plunkett will be returning!
Our Academic Coach, Vanessa Rousseau, is retiring, as previously announced.
Sadly, three current staff members will not be with us next year. Jeanne Woods, who was subbing for Mr. Plunkett, will be retiring for real this time! Georgine Thompson, our half-time learning specialist, was in a temporary position, and we wish her well in her future endeavors. Our Social Worker, Danielle Klassen, has resigned her position in BSD to grow her consulting business. They will all be dearly missed!
We will be hosting a Back-to-School event before the first day, allowing you and your child to meet the teacher, see the classroom, and connect with one another. The dates are to-be-determined, and I will send a Save-the-Date message before the end of June.
To our Fifth Graders (and families), we will miss you, but know you are ready for everything ahead! It was my privilege to be part of your elementary years and see how much you’ve grown. Know that you have a whole school full of people who care about you and who will be cheering you on. Mark your calendars for June of 2032 when you come back for your Grad Walk! :)
Sincerely,
Ms. Toni Rosenquist
Thank you for being a part of our community. We look forward to welcoming you back in August!

Last Day of School Volunteers
To Help with the amount of visitors and volunteers we have coming on Tuesday....
We want to encourage you to download the Raptor Safe App. We have had great success using the app with parents and it made the process of signing in at school so fast. No more long lines waiting at the iPad. You can also use this app at all of the schools in the district.
The Raptor Safe app is available for download in the app store! You will need to download the app, and create an account using your driver’s license or another government-issued ID. The app will generate a QR code for easy scanning that you can sign in at the iPad with, saving time.
