Message from the Nurse

  • If your child is not feeling welling in the morning, please keep them home.
  • Please check Skyward to see if your student is missing immunizations. If so, please get them taken care of as soon as possible. Call Nurse Angela at 253.891.5214 if you need immunization resources.

"Test to Stay" Program

All schools in the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District are now offering a voluntary COVID-19 testing program designed for students who are unvaccinated and identified as a close contact of an individual who tests positive for COVID-19.

Called Test to Stay, this program is designed to reduce learning loss for students exposed to COVID-19 at school. The parent-consent testing program allows unvaccinated students, or those not yet fully vaccinated, to remain in school as long as they are symptom-free and test negative for COVID-19. Students who participate in the Test to Stay program will test at school the day we are notified of possible exposure and then test one more time on day 5 from the date of close contact.

Test to Stay, combined with disease-prevention strategies, can help our school detect new cases to prevent outbreaks, reduce the risk of further transmission, and protect students and staff from COVID-19. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and healthy in-person learning environment.

For more information, please contact our COVID Health Tech, Tina Berggren, at 253.891.5231.
