A NOTE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT
September 5, 2025
Happy Friday, PUSD!
This week, I had the opportunity to meet with two of our valued educational partners—the Palomar Council of PTAs and the joint Kiwanis Clubs of Poway and Rancho Bernardo. I am always grateful for the families and community members who generously share their time and resources in support of our students.
I also stopped by Campapalooza, where more than 100 teachers from across the district gathered to exchange ideas and showcase innovative classroom practices. This final session of our summer professional learning program highlighted how educators are using tools like AI, project-based learning, and creative platforms such as Canva and Canvas to inspire and engage students.
As technology continues to advance rapidly, it’s encouraging to see our educators staying at the forefront, ensuring that students benefit from the latest tools to enhance learning. At home, we encourage you to have these conversations with your children so that together, we can prepare them to navigate the digital future safely and confidently. Thank you for the important role you play in supporting your child’s education.
Next week marks the second Board meeting of the school year. Meetings are open to the public and begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Poway Unified School District Office (15250 Avenue of Science, San Diego, CA 92128), unless otherwise noted. You may also view the livestream at this link.
Sincerely,
Ben
