Rising Rockets Web Tutorial

Please see the video below from the high school athletic department introducing Rising Rockets, an initiative designed to provide a one-stop digital location for all things youth athletics, in Rocket City.

Our goal is to make it easier for families to find information about camps, clinics, youth leagues, and opportunities to get involved in Reeths-Puffer athletics. Through Rising Rockets, you’ll be able to explore offerings, connect with programs, and register your student-athlete all in one convenient place.

We’re excited to continue building strong connections with our future Rockets and hope this resource makes navigating youth athletics in our community even easier.

Greater Muskegon Junior Tour (GMJT): The GMJT is a great starting point for students who want to individually compete in tournaments. It is close to home and not very expensive (~$20-$25) per event. Local courses are available. If your student athlete enjoys golf and wants to start competing in events then here is the link with this summer's events: https://www.greatermuskegonjuniortour.com/

We can't wait to create with you!

Introducing Free Book Fridays.

Starting May 29th, Free Book Fridays will give away one free Cartoonversation e-book every Friday for 16 consecutive weeks — all the way through September 11th.

Families sign up at freebookfridays.com with just an email address, and a free book arrives every Friday, all summer long. No cost. No application. No barriers of any kind.

Cartoonversation books are built to meet kids where they are and equip the adults in their lives to have real conversations. Here’s what sets them apart:

★ Aligned with grade-specific Michigan State Teaching Standards

★ Aligned with Michigan and national Social Emotional Learning Core Competencies

★ Developed under the guidance of subject matter experts in school safety, injury prevention, and law enforcement

★ Over 100,000 Cartoonversation books printed and distributed across Michigan

Every book includes a Cartoonversation Card that makes it easy for any caring adult to sit down with a child and start a meaningful conversation. No prep time required.

I would be so grateful if you would share this program with the families, educators, and communities your organization serves — whether through a newsletter, a social media post, or a note to member districts. A single share from your organization could reach thousands of families across Michigan before the school year ends.

Capturing Kids' Hearts

Did you know that R-PEL is a two year in a row National Showcase School for CKH?

What is Capturing Kids' Hearts? CKH is a program for teachers that focuses on building strong, positive relationships between students and staff to foster a safe and supportive school environment.

You may have heard your kids talking about their Social Contract in their classroom, if not, ask them what that is!

May's Theme is Integrity!

What is Integrity?

Integrity is the ability and willingness to live with honesty and excellence. People who act with integrity make a choice to do the right thing, no matter who is watching. Integrity is the foundation on which we build relationships and trust.
