Dear St. James Families,

At the end of last month, during Parent-Teacher Conferences, families received important information about Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) days.

AMI Days and Packets
When students cannot attend school due to weather or other circumstances, AMI allows learning to continue at home. Families received packets at conferences containing assignments and resources for students to complete on AMI days. These packets, along with guidance from teachers, help ensure students stay on track. You will be notified through our mass communication system if an AMI day is called.

Inclement Weather Updates
School closings or early dismissals will be communicated through phone calls, texts, our website, and social media. For more details, visit our Inclement Weather page.

Missouri Day is all about honoring the stories, skills, and people that make our state shine. Today, our 3rd graders got a taste of that Missouri magic, learning about everything from grapes to mules with help from our amazing local experts!

This year, we’re highlighting how our staff members embody our mission each day, whether building caring relationships, striving for academic excellence, or strengthening community partnerships. Nominated by their peers, leading the Tiger Way shines a spotlight on the teachers and staff who bring these values to life.

Another successful Fall Blood Drive is in the books! The National Honor Society (NHS) at St. James R-1 High School teamed up with the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks and collected 32 donations from 40 registered donors. A huge thank-you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and to NHS Sponsor, Mr. Adams, for guiding students through another successful blood drive!

Students and staff demonstrated Engaged Citizenship, a core value from our Portrait of a Graduate, by working side by side to serve others and support our community.
