From our Executive Director
Dear Centennial Families,
Thank you for a wonderful first month of school! It has been a joy welcoming our scholars back and feeling the energy, excitement, and sense of community throughout Centennial.
As we look ahead, our commitment remains Excellence Elevated. Every Scholar, Every Day. We will continue to hold ourselves and our scholars to high expectations while providing the support, encouragement, and opportunities they need to thrive. Thank you for partnering with us by reinforcing school expectations, prioritizing attendance and readiness to learn, and staying connected with our teachers and leaders.
There is so much ahead for our HEROES; from academics and STEAM to arts, athletics, clubs, field learning, and special events. We are grateful that you have chosen to be part of the Centennial Crew and appreciate the many ways you support our school community.
We’ve had a strong start, and we’re just getting started! Here’s to a year of Heart. Habits. High Expectations and infinite possibilities for every scholar.
In Service,

Week 5 Family Update: Learning, Partnership & Expectations
Greetings Families,
As we move into Week 5, we want to thank you for all that you do! We are excited about the learning taking place and ask that you continue reinforcing learning and expectations at home.
Support Learning at Home
Please help us by:
Encouraging your scholar to read for at least 30 minutes every day
Asking your scholar, “What did you learn today?” and making real-world connections to what scholars are learning in school
Ensuring homework is completed with fidelity and on time
Checking folders, backpacks, and teacher communications regularly
Reading all school communications to stay informed about important updates, events, and expectations
Encouraging your scholar to come to school ready to learn each day
Parent-School Partnership
We truly value our families and want to maintain an open line of communication. We understand that concerns will arise, and we are committed to listening, responding, and working toward solutions.
We ask that all communication with our staff be handled with respect, patience, and understanding.
Maintaining a Safe & Respectful Campus
Centennial Academy is a safe learning environment for our scholars. We cannot and will not tolerate threatening, aggressive, or disruptive behavior on our campus.
This includes:
Yelling or screaming at staff
Cursing or using inappropriate language
Threatening or intimidating staff members
Creating disturbances on school grounds
Disrupting classrooms, arrival, dismissal, or other school operations
If you are upset or frustrated about a situation, we strongly encourage you to take a moment to gather your thoughts before approaching the school or a staff member. We will go above and beyond to hear your concerns and work toward a resolution, but conversations must remain respectful and orderly.
Our scholars are watching us. As adults, we have a shared responsibility to model the respectful communication, self-control, and problem-solving skills we expect from them.
Please understand that individuals who significantly disrupt our learning environment or create safety concerns may have their access to campus and school-related events restricted in accordance with school policies and procedures. Our desire is never for a situation to reach that point.
We simply ask that we continue working together toward peaceful, respectful, and productive resolutions.
Let’s make Week 5 a great one!
K-5 Administration
September is National Attendance Awareness Month!
September is National Attendance Awareness Month and the official kickoff of our annual Attendance Palooza! Throughout the month, we’re making attendance fun while reinforcing an important message: every day of school matters.
Parents and families, we need your partnership in making sure your scholar is here every day and on time, ready to learn! Each day your scholar is present not only supports their academic success, but also helps their homeroom reach its weekly attendance goal and unlock a special incentive!
We have lots of fun celebrations planned, but we can’t reach our goals without YOU. Help us build strong attendance habits and remind our scholars that showing up is the first step toward success!
Ready, Set, ATTEND! Every Scholar. Every Day!
