MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

GLOW Students & Families,

What a strong start to the school year! It has been wonderful to welcome our students back to campus as they reconnect with friends, meet new ones, get to know their teachers, settle into routines, and proudly show off their GLOW uniforms!

As we head into our first full week of school, thank you to our students, families, and staff for your patience, flexibility, and positive spirit. We especially appreciate your grace as we continue to tweak and improve bus routes and transportation schedules to make the process as smooth, safe, and reliable as possible.

Every school day matters. Being at school consistently helps students stay connected, build important routines, and make the most of all that GLOW has to offer. I am proud of how our students have embraced the start of the year.

We also kicked things off with our annual PBIS Kick-Off, where students enjoyed outdoor games, music, cotton candy, popcorn, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate their positive choices.

As we settle into the year, I encourage families to connect and get involved. Our upcoming PTA Family Night and first PTA meeting are great opportunities to meet other families, learn what’s happening at GLOW, and become part of our school community.

Thank you for helping make this a strong beginning to another great year. Let’s keep the momentum going.

Wishing you all another great week ahead!

Kate B. Tayloe

Principal

Not Sure Who to Contact? We Can Help!

Whether your student will be absent, you need to make a transportation change, have a question about after school care, or aren’t sure where to send a request, knowing the right person to contact can make all the difference. We’ve put together a quick guide below to help you connect with the correct person. Not sure who to contact? Start with Mrs. London in our Front Office, and she'll be happy to help point you in the right direction!

📋 Absences & Tardy Notes

For absence notifications, tardy notes, and attendance-related questions, please contact Ms. Lukens or Mrs. London. It's also a good idea to copy your student's Leadership Advisory teacher on these emails to keep teachers in the loop, especially when absences will extend beyond one day.

For transportation changes, bus questions, or other transportation needs, please contact our Transportation Coordinator, Mr. Richard Johnson.

📚 Academic & Classroom Questions

For questions about your student’s classes, academic progress, or classroom needs, please reach out to your student’s Leadership Advisor. Our full list of GLOW teachers and staff, along with their email addresses, is found on our WEBSITE.

❓ Other Questions/Concerns

Start with your student's Leadership Advisory Teacher and/or your school level administrator:

BUS PICK-UP & DROP-OFF TIMES

Parents, we have uploaded our UPDATED/MOST RECENT morning and afternoon Bus Routes, which include Stop Locations & Pick-Up/Drop-Off Times, to THIS FOLDER. Your assigned pick-up/drop-off time may have been modified from what you received at Open House. Please check your stop times so you'll be ready for your bus on the first day of school.

As a reminder, students should be at their Bus Stop location at least 10 minutes prior to the time listed.

Please be patient in the first 7-10 days of school as we establish more accurate route times as we learn which students will and will not be utilizing GLOW Bus Transportation. Our goal is to provide safe and efficient transportation for our students, so we will will adjust routes as we learn more about student transportation needs to create the most efficient routes for our students.

We will notify you when we update routes to include the most accurate times based on our students who will be utilizing transportation this school year. Please ensure that we have your current contact information in Infinite Campus so you can receive these and other important notifications.

If you have questions regarding GLOW Bus Transportation, please contact our Transportation Coordinator, Richard Johnson at transportation@glowacademy.net.
