The Coyle Counseling Connection

Hello! My name is Eric Cortez, and I am the school counselor here at Coyle Avenue Elementary School. I hold a Master’s degree in School Counseling and am certified to support students’ social, emotional, and academic development. With over 12 years of experience working in education, I’m passionate about helping every student feel safe, supported, and successful.

This will be my 8th year at Coyle, and I’m excited that this year I will be on-site full-time.

My approach centers on building strong relationships with students. I believe every child has unique strengths, and I work to empower them to overcome challenges and grow with confidence. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my two little ones, cooking, and working out.
