Quick Note about the Upcoming Cookout on Field Day
Sorry for any confusion.
The cookout for students will take place on Friday, June 12th as part of our field day.
The cookout is for students only, and will take the place of lunch for the kids.
Aramark is providing the cookout in place of the regular menu on that day.
We are still looking for field day volunteers. Please go to our PTG Konstella
page for sign up information.

From our School Nurse/Teacher:
At this time, Meadowbrook is a Peanut/Tree Nut FREE school - things may change as the school year progresses. We will let you know.
If your child requires medication during school hours, we must have a doctor's order that accompanies the medication. Medication should also be placed in a pharmacy bottle that is clearly labeled.
- We’ve already had a few children sent home with fevers. As a reminder, our illness policy requires that children be fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication before returning to school.
- Children must also stay home for at least 24 hours after any episodes of vomiting and/or diarrhea.
Please do not medicate your child to “get them through the day,” as this can mask symptoms and increase the risk of spreading illness to others.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the school nurse. Thank you for helping us keep our school community healthy!
A Message From Dr. Kenworthy
A message from EAST GREENWICH SD
Dear Members of the EGPS Community,
I wanted to provide an update regarding the Fiscal Year 2027 budget process, which will fund the 2026-27 school year.
On April 7, 2026, the School Committee approved the FY2027 school department budget request following several months of discussion and deliberation. That request was subsequently forwarded to the Town Manager and incorporated into his recommended FY2027 Town budget for consideration by the Town Council.
The Town Council began its budget deliberations earlier this month and will continue those discussions at its next meeting on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. The meeting agenda is available here. The Council is expected to complete its deliberations in early June, with a final vote on the Town budget required by June 10th.
Should any adjustments to the school department budget become necessary as part of the Town Council process, I would present those recommendations to the School Committee at its next scheduled meeting.
I hope everyone enjoys the holiday weekend and that the weather forecast improves. Information regarding the Town’s Memorial Day Parade is available on the town website.
Yours in partnership,
Dr. Thomas Kenworthy
Superintendent
