Delton Kellogg Schools appreciates your support for our athletic teams. To insure everyone enjoys these events, we ask that you do not bring outside equipment to the games. This includes footballs, soccer balls, mitts etc. Students are asked to be seated in the bleachers with their friends and family.

Thank you - Athletic Department

Delton Kellogg Middle School is proud to offer resources to our students that need help with assignments. One of our dedicated teachers is available to help with questions and provide guidance on available resources. Students can catch up on past due assignments or utilize this time to build skills for successful study habits.

Beginning this year, KickStart is asking that any deposits of $20 or more be clearly marked by a parent or guardian expressly stating it is for the KickStart Program. We want to ensure that the money being sent with your children is designated for their account and not for another school activity.

Happy Friday Panther Families!!! We've gotten through another great and busy week here at the middle school.

I would like to thank our Student Council and Mrs. Lebeck for putting together an awesome Halloween Spirit Week. Also, thank you to all of the students and staff for participating and showing that Halloween spirit!

Starting on Monday November 6th, students will need to have a winter jacket to go outside during recess if the temperature is 32 F or lower. The goal is to make sure students are dressed properly for the weather to help keep them healthy and at school. If your child is in need of a winter jacket please let myself, Mrs. Collins, or Mrs. Rhoda know and we can try and provide your child a jacket.

Today is the final day of the first quarter. We will be holding our first parent/teacher conference on Monday November 20th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Tuesday November 21st from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and again from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. I will be posting conference sign ups next Friday in the newsletter, on our school website, and I will send an email with the teacher sign up links. We would love for you and your child to come to conferences to discuss their academic and social progress.

Also, as we start the second quarter we will be adhering to and enforcing our tardy policy. Students have had the opportunity to get used to their schedules, opening their lockers, and knowing where their classrooms are. To make sure students are safe and getting as much instructional time as possible, it is important they are getting to class on time. If you need to view our tardy policy please check the 2023-2024 Student Handbook, that can be found on our school website.

In our middle school sports update, the boys basketball teams will be playing their first game Monday night against Saugatuck starting @ 5:00 pm in our middle school gym. Our Competitive Cheer Team will have their first competition on Tuesday at Coloma Middle School starting @ 6:00 pm. Good luck Panthers and have a great season!

As always I want to thank everyone for their hard work in making DKMS a great place to be. It takes our staff, students, families, and community working together to do that and it is greatly appreciated! Have a great weekend!

Just can't hide, that PANTHER PRIDE!!!
