Instruction at Jefferson Elementary
Parents,
The staff at Jefferson are becoming leaders across the state in the implementation of Team Teaching. Five Jefferson educators have already received specialized training at Arizona State University, and this month, additional educators will attend this impactful professional development.
The work happening at Jefferson is gaining attention. We have welcomed visitors from colleges and universities, state legislators, and other Fargo Public Schools who are interested in seeing Team Teaching in action and learning from our educators.
Team Teaching is about much more than sharing students. Our teachers intentionally create a sense of belonging across an entire grade level. During Family Time, the whole grade comes together to build relationships, reinforce common expectations, and celebrate successes as one community.
Our educators also collaboratively plan and co-teach lessons, using the strengths and expertise of multiple teachers to better meet the needs of all students. This allows students to receive instruction that is not only rigorous, but also responsive and supportive.
Jefferson educators are leading, learning, and showing what is possible when we work together for all students.
