CCSD is hosting our 3rd annual Teen Mental Health Summit on Saturday, October 24th, 2026 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Athens Community Career Academy (ACCA). The event is called Free Your Feels which is a statewide initiative to openly talk about mental health in teens.
This event is FREE and open to all CCSD students ages 12-18. There will be a DJ, a photobooth, self-expression stations (art, journaling, etc). There will also be a Caregiver Cafe for parents/caregivers who would like to meet together to discuss ways to support your student's mental health. Lunch will be provided!
For students who want to attend, please complete the FYF Registration Form using this link or the QR code on the flyer.
Visitors MUST check in at ACCA Front Desk
Students: Please remember that it is very IMPORTANT to not let any students or visitors in any outside doors at ACCA. Visitors are informed to check in at the front office so they can receive a visitors badge while on our campus.
ACCA Breakfast
* Breakfast is provided at ACCA for all morning and full day students from 8:00 - 8:30 am in the ACCA lobby.
* If your bus arrives after 8:30 am, please see Ms. Lowe at the ACCA front entrance to receive breakfast. Please write your name on the clipboard if you receive a breakfast after 8:30 am.
ACCA Lunch
* Lunch is provided at ACCA for only FULL DAY students from 11:30 - 11:45 am MTThF (12:00 - 12:15 pm on Wednesdays) in the ACCA lobby.
* ACCA morning and afternoon students will eat lunch at their home high schools each day.
ACCA Lanyards
ACCA students are required to wear their ACCA lanyards and ID badges while on the ACCA campus. If students forget their lanyards, they will be given a temporary ACCA blue wristband for the day. This helps us ensure that each student transitions into and off our campus in the most efficient way possible and increases the security in our facility.
Parking at ACCA
ACCA currently does not require a parking pass to park on our campus. Students are allowed to park in any available spaces (other than reserved or handicapped spaces) in the ACCA parking lot as well as any parallel spots on the Dearing Extension in front of the building (please park in the direction of traffic to avoid a parking ticket). Please do not park in any of the surrounding businesses near ACCA or the Early Learning Center parking lot.
While avoiding reserved spots is a courtesy, parking in handicapped spaces without proper documentation is a violation of the law and may result in fines or other penalties. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring that all designated parking areas are used appropriately. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Also, please make sure that if you park behind ACCA that you do not park in the designated spaces for Medlink/Classic City Health Center. These spaces are reserved specifically for patients and/or employees.
CCSD Student Health Form
Parents and guardians: Have you filled out your student's health form for the new school year? If not, please go to qrco.de/CCSDStudentHealth.
There is now a School Based Health Center on the ACCA campus (behind ACCA at Classic City High School). If a student needs to be seen by a provider for well-child checks, sick visits, sports physicals, immunizations, counseling, dental, nutritional, or legal services, the student should contact a school nurse, counselor, or social worker. Employees and students' parents/guardians can call the SBHCs directly and make an appointment.
For questions, contact our campus nurse, Kirsteen Devorsey at devorseyk@clarke.k12.ga.us
Need to borrow a laptop or charging cord at ACCA?
Students can checkout a laptop and/or a charging cord while on the ACCA campus by checking one out from Ms. Lowe at the ACCA front entrance. These items are only able to be used on a daily basis and must be returned each day to her.

When Class is in Session, Put the Phones Away
CCSD is implementing cell phone guidelines to improve student engagement, decrease distractions, and improve the overall educational experience in our classrooms.
As a reminder, high school students will be asked to either keep their phones in their backpacks or place them in pouches inside their classrooms.
ACCA Attendance
If a student is absent from class and has an excuse note from a doctor or a parent/guardian, please email it to Ms. Whitney Lowe at accainfo@clarke.k12.ga.us (or drop it off with her at the front desk) so their absence can be excused in Campus.
See Something, Say Something
As part of our continued commitment to ensuring that our schools remain welcoming and safe environments for all, we are pleased to introduce the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System (SS-ARS) to CCSD students, staff, and families.
Students, staff, and the general public can submit a tip 24/7 about concerning or threatening behaviors in one of three ways:
- Directly through the website at saysomething.net. The direct reporting link for the general public can be found here. Students and staff will use a private link that they can access from their CCSD Clever account.
- Download the Say Something app on your smartphone - Google Play / Apple Store.
- Call 1-844-572-9669. You can also text “TIP” to 79775.
Every submission goes directly to a trained crisis counselor who gathers details and shares the information and next steps with the school safety response team and law enforcement (as needed). Every CCSD school has in place a trained “Say Something” response team, including counselors, administrators, and other support staff.
