Core Values for this Month - Empathy/ Kindness to Others.
Over the months of November and December, we will be focusing on the core values of Empathy & Kindness to Others. We hope that by focusing on these values, we can help to create a positive and inclusive school environment, enhancing students' overall well-being. Importantly, raising the children's awareness and understanding of empathy can help to prevent bullying and conflict by encouraging understanding and tolerance among each other. We would encourage you to speak at home with your child about these values and praise them when they demonstrate empathy and kindness to others.
Shoebox Appeal
Many thanks to everyone who has donated to the Shoebox appeal. Monday (18th Nov) is the last day we can accept shoeboxes.

Mini 7s Cumann na mBunscol
The boys had a great day at their Mini 7s competition last Wednesday. Our first match was against Rathregan and after going in level at half time, the boys showed brilliant skills and determination to win the match in the second half. Our second match was against Kilcloon with the winners going through to the next stage of the tournament. Unfortunately the result didn't go as planned but the boys worked really hard, tried their best and showed great sportsmanship. Our hurling section of the Cumann na mBunscoil competition will take place in April of next year.
Mini 7s - Camogie
Although the scores were not in our favour for the mini 7s the girls played brilliantly. They showed great positivity and team work and made Ms. Byrne very proud with some very skillfull plays. Well done girls
Peadar Lehane Girls
Ms Payne was very impressed with the performances the girls put in during their Peadar Lehane campaign agaist Kildalkey, Boardsmill and Ballivor. The girls worked really well together and improved with every game played. Well Done Girls!
Peadar Lehane Update - Boys
The boys team have qualified for the final of the Peader Lehane football competition. We have a total of 19 boys on the panel and every one has played a key part in each of our matches to date. We started our campaign with a victory over Kildalkey NS in Kildalkey. Next up for our boys was a home game against Boardsmill NS where we narrowly held on to win by 4 points. Facing into our final match against Ballivor, it was already decided that both schools would be playing each other again in the final. The boys have showed some great energy and skills and won on the day. Hopefully they have saved their best performance for their final next week. We will have practice on Tuesday if all boys could bring in their gear. We would ask all players to ensure they have gloves and gumshields at both our practice and for the final.
Peader Lehane Football Final

Venue: Boardsmill GAA
Start time: 12 noon.
We would love to organise some food for the boys for after the final to acknowledge their efforts to date. If any parents were willing to help organise or sponsor some food please get in contact.
