High Pointe Elementary was selected to partner with Springfield Ballet through its Dance Chance Program, giving second-grade students the opportunity to learn the art of ballet over several weeks. What some of the girls didn’t expect was how much they would learn beyond dance. Along the way, they are building self-confidence, determination, and other valuable life skills. Teachers have been very impressed with the girls’ progress as they prepare for an upcoming evening recital, where they will showcase their new skills in front of their families.

Joshua Bryant is our High School Artist of the Week 🎤

🎉 Joshua Bryant is our High School Artist of the Week, proudly sponsored by Rocco's Pizza of Nixa!

"Choir has always been a huge part of my life. I've made so many friends through this program that I never would've met otherwise. When I was younger, I was always singing or making noises, and that annoyed my family so much, but choir has given me an opportunity to turn those sounds into beautiful music with other like-minded people." - Joshua Bryant 🎤

"Joshua has been amazing. At our most recent concert, he played congas for one choir and güiro for another, provided vocal percussion, and helped set everything up, all while singing at a high level. He is the kind of student who steps in wherever he's needed and makes everyone around him better." - Daniel Gutierrez, Head Nixa Choirs Director

🌟 Trey Farrales is this week's Nixa Junior High Artist of the Week! 👏

"My favorite thing about art is that it is not only a hobby, but it can be a career if you try hard enough." - Trey Farrales 🎨

"Trey came into eighth-grade art already on fire with a passion for growth and creativity. When a student carries their own art supplies around school, you know they mean business! Not a single project Trey has created this year has fallen short, and his exceptional knowledge and use of color truly set his artwork apart. His drive to grow and create makes him a standout artist!" - Olivia Falkenstien, Nixa Junior High art teacher 🦅
