The Roar Report

Week 36

The RoarReportWeek 36

Message from the Principal:

Good afternoon, LHMS Lion Family! I hope you have had a great weekend!

Can you believe we have made it to the last week of school? Now that we are here, it seems as though the year has flown by! I want to take time to say THANK YOU to all of you! I know that it has been a long year with a many wins and a few challenges. I want to say that your support does not go unnoticed! I hope you and your families have an awesome summer! Please be safe! I want to see all of our 6th and 7th graders back on campus in August!!!

I also want to say thank you to all of you who came to our AAPI Celebration on Friday evening! I value the diversity of our student body and want all of our students to feel loved and supported! As we finish up this year, if you have suggestions on events you would like to see next year, please send an email to Ms. Powell, our parent liaison. We will do our best to make it happen!

This last week of the year has a lot going on. I am going to resend the EOY message that went out last week. Please pay attention to each item. We will begin collecting the Yondr Pouches on Wednesday. Please ensure that your child has theirs to turn in. If the pouch is missing or damaged, there will be a fine. Also, please remember that there will be no more Lion's Lair or Boys and Girls Club after school. Please make arrangements with your child so they know the plan for after school.

You should be hearing from teachers if your child failed one or more classes. Summer School registration will be held next week. If you have questions about summer school, please call the counselors' office. I sent you a message about a delay in the arrival of yearbooks. We will have those ready and give the students a bit of time to share autographs on the 5th of June.

Finally, please be sure you have read the invitation for the 8th Grade Celebration. We want this to be a safe and orderly event for all the attendees. Therefore, we are limiting certain items from entering the gym. I can't wait to see you all there!

Let's have the best week of the year!

We are Better Together!
