Buenas noches, familias de James John,

No olviden que el edificio estará cerrado mañana y no habrá clases.

Hoy tuve un día inspirador de aprendizaje en Leadership Training. Reuní más ideas para compartir con el personal sobre UDL (Diseño Universal para el Aprendizaje) y pasos de acción para seguir trabajando para vivir nuestros valores fundamentales en toda la escuela.

Mientras nos embarcamos en un nuevo capítulo en la Escuela Primaria James John para convertirnos en una escuela de vecindario, estoy orgulloso de nuestros maestros, nuestro equipo de jardín de infantes, nuestro equipo de educación especial y nuestros para educadores. Ellos están y han trabajado juntos para hacer de nuestra experiencia educativa de jardín de infantes una que honre a todos nuestros niños con y sin discapacidades y que nuestros estudiantes merecen experimentar una educación que no limite su potencial. Lo veo en la forma en que interactúan con los estudiantes y lo veo en la forma en que se presentan ante nuestros estudiantes. Definitivamente hemos estado viviendo según nuestros valores fundamentales de comunidad y perseverancia. Gracias a todos.

La próxima semana tendremos nuestra reunión de la PTA de James John el miércoles de 5:15 a 7:00 pm y se proporcionará comida, así que únase a la reunión y aprenda cómo puede ayudar a sus hijos de diferentes maneras. El jueves es cuando todas las escuelas, en todo el estado, practican el simulacro de terremoto “The Great Shakeout”, seguido de nuestro simulacro de incendio mensual. Recuerde a sus pequeños que ambos ejercicios son para que practiquemos cómo mantenernos seguros en caso de una emergencia real. Gracias.

Por último, el viernes de la próxima semana será nuestro evento Walk and Roll donde todos nos reuniremos y andaremos en bicicleta hasta el Centro Comunitario St. John y luego caminaremos hasta la escuela. Nos vemos a todos allí a las 7:45. Eso es todo por ahora.

Good evening James John Families,

I had an inspiring day of learning at Leadership Training today. I gathered more ideas to share with staff about UDL (Universal Design for Learning) and action steps to keep working towards living our school wide core values.

As we embark in a new chapter at James John ES to become a Neighborhood School - I am proud of our Teachers, our Kindergarten Team, our Special Education Team and our Para Educators. They are and have worked together to make our Kindergarten educational experience one which honors and serves all our kiddos in the least restrictive environment regardless of eligibility category or level of need. That all our students deserve to experience an education that is not limiting their potential. I see it in the way they interact with students and I see it in the way they show up for our students. We have definitely been living in our core values of Community and Perseverance. Thank you all.

Next week we will be having our James John PTA gathering on Wednesday from 5:15 to 7:00 pm and food will be provided, so come join the meeting and learn how you can help support your kiddos in different ways. Thursday is when all schools statewide practice “The Great Shakeout” earthquake drill, followed by our monthly fire drill. Please remind your little ones that both of these drills are for us to practice how to stay safe in the event of a real emergency - Thank you.

And...on Friday of next week, will be our Walk and Roll event where we all get together and ride our bikes to the St. John Community Center and then walk over to school. See you all there at 7:45ish. Exciting!

Lastly, don’t forget the building will be closed tomorrow and there will be no school for students nor staff.
