Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It was another great week at the Swift-Slaybaugh Complex! The weather is perfect and the kids are feeling the end of the year excitement that is slowly creeping up on us. It is so hard to believe that the last day of school is a month from Sunday! This week Renaissance held their annual "Lip Sync Battle" on Wednesday night. Brave second and third student performers put on their acts in front of a crowd of their families and friends and they did an amazing job! Congratulations to them all. On Thursday morning our third-grade "Slaybaugh Singers" put on a concert in front of their families. They sang beautifully and some students even played the ukulele. Bravo to the students and their music teacher/director, Ms. Moore!

On Friday, our thirteen kindergarten classes took their field trip to Storybook Land. The weather could not have been nicer and the students had so much fun exploring the park and going on rides with their friends and chaperones. Next week, our third-grade classes will be going a few classes at a time to the Cape May Nature Reserve. This is always an educational and fun trip where students have the opportunity to learn about the environment and animals that live right at their doorstep. I hope everyone has an excellent weekend. STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT

Going "Great Lengths" in First Grade!

Miss King's first grade class reviewed their unit on measuring with some Fun Friday Centers! Students found the length of insects, rainforest animals, and prehistoric animals around the room using cubes. We had so much fun!

For the Love of Animals!

Ms. Zompa’s second grade class had a great time researching about their favorite animals. Then they used what they learned to write a non fiction book with lots of text features! Great job!

Slaybaugh Singers Concert

On Thursday, our third grade "Slaybaugh Singers" held their Spring Concert. Excellent job to the singers and Ms. Moore!

Celebrating Hard Work!

Miss Bates' third grade class had a pizza party to celebrate all of their hard work during the NJ State Learning Assessment. "Donut Stress About the Test!"

Good Morning!!

Mrs. Del Prete & Miss Kim's second grade students, Jacob and Desi, did a wonderful job doing the Pledge of Alliegiance during morning announcements!

Getting in Touch with our Feelings!

Miss Connors, the complex's AtlantiCare Healthy Schools Specialist, came to Mr. Nale's second grade room for a great lesson on emotions.
