Good Afternoon Jaguar Nation!

We are so excited for Jag Fest this afternoon from 3:40โ€“5:15 PM! This event is always a highlight for many of our students, and we are grateful to our PTO for making it possible. If your student is staying after school, please be sure you have a plan in place for how they will get home.

๐Ÿš— Pick-Up Update: The bus area and the parking lot by the tennis courts will be closed during Jag Fest pick-up. Families will need to use the front or back car line. Please see the [Arrival & Dismissal Map] for details on pick-up areas.

๐Ÿ”น Reminder: Jag Fest is a student-only event.

This week, we also had the honor of recognizing 91 students as Students of the Quarter! These Jaguars, representing 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, were nominated by their teachers for living out what it means to be REAL Jagsโ€”Respectful, Empathetic, Accountable Leaders. We are so proud of them for setting a positive example for their peers.

Events like Jag Fest and our student recognitions are wonderful reminders of the amazing things happening at Jones every day. If you havenโ€™t joined PTO yet, please consider doing so. Membership directly supports our students and teachers, and all members are welcome to volunteer at events.

Finally, a big shout-out to our student broadcast team, led by Mr. Crosslin. Their latest long-format video highlights both our athletic successes and student/teacher profile. Itโ€™s amazing to see the work our middle schoolers are producing! ๐ŸŽฅ

Thank you for being part of our Jaguar communityโ€”we look forward to seeing many of you at Jag Fest later today!

Go Jags!

Have a great weekend, and Go Jags!

Together We Empower

The Jones MS CERT Team in Action - This morning, before the first bell rang, the Jones Middle School CERT team completed a Code Blueโ€”a heart-attack simulation drill. Together we cultivate the skills and teamwork needed to keep our campus prepared and our students safe and staff.

Together We Prosper

When Nurse McNeal at Cockrell Elementary noticed a need for her students, she reached out for helpโ€”and collaboration made it happen! Jones MS CTE Engineering teacher Mr. Ruiz stepped in and used his classโ€™s 3D printer to create the solution Nurse McNeal envisioned. This partnership is a perfect example of how, when we work together across campuses and departments, we can quickly turn a great idea into something that directly benefits students. Teamwork in actionโ€”Together We Prosper!

BEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS

Named by HEBโ€™s Excellence in Education Awards as the Best Large District in the State of Texas, Prosper ISD has an established 67-year history that is grounded in the humble roots of a farming community, now soaring to the fastest growing school district in Texas, due in no small part to the pursuit of excellence in the arts, academics and athletics. Our students and staff are routinely recognized on the local, state, and national levels for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.

ABOUT PROSPER ISD

Prosper ISD is a school district located north of Dallas in Collin and Denton Counties. The district spans approximately 58 square miles and serves more than 32,000 students in 20 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 4 high schools, and one early childhood school.

๐Ÿซถ THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING OUR TEACHERS & STUDENTS

In November 2023, an overwhelming majority of voters approved $2.7 billion to continue building excellence in Prosper ISD. Thank you for your continued financial commitment to our district.

And while our facilities are second to none, we know that it is the people who make the difference in Prosper ISD. From our bus drivers to our teachers to our teacher assistants, our staff is here to support students as they pursue their dreams of excellence in academics, fine arts, and athletics.
